The first stop in Baguio City of Travel Tripsters together with the Eurotel team and fellow bloggers is the Lion's Head. The Lion's Head is a majestic structure at Kenon Road. It is the popular Baguio City marker where many tourists stop over to take photos.
Although the Travel Tripsters also visited Baguio City last October 2011, we were not able to pass by the Lion's Head since we traveled by bus and only light vehicles are allowed to pass by Kenon Road.
According to the Lion's Club, the Lion's Head used to be a natural big limestone rock formation which locals and travelers recognized to resemble a Lion's Head. The Lion's Club then took the initiative to make it a landmark indicating their presence in Baguio City. The project was completed in 1972.
The Lion's Head also signifies the presence of tourist business in Baguio City. There are ignorot costumes for rent at the side of the large monument. There were also small stores along the parking space.
