Like the other churches in the Philippines, it has a colonial baroque architectural design.
It has a bell tower attached to the church building.
And, right next to it is the convent and a small garden giving it a refreshing look.
Although currently in it's forminable adobe structure, it wasn't originally so. It was originally made of lighter materials and was just rebuilt on 1621. It was partially destroyed during the Chinese uprising on 1639. It was rebuilt but once again crumbled down during the Earthquakes of 1824. It also suffered major cracked during the earthquakes of 1880 and 1937.
The interiors are simple and plain with white walls.
It's very clean-looking and solemn too.
This is the altar.
The patron saint is El Salvador del Mundo (Divine Savior of the World). As seconday patrons, there's Our Lady of Snows (Nuestra SeƱora de las Nieves) and St. Joseph, husband of Mary.
Old books and photographs are show case on the halls by its side.
The building is actually bigger than it looks.
This is the staircase that leads to the bell tower.
And, this is the staircase towards he balcony.
The balcony is connected to the convent.
Some of the bells on the bell tower works.
But, some are preserved for showcase purposes.
